Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, equipment, tools, and company assets to ensure projects are supplied efficiently and on time.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and committed to providing excellent customer service while supporting warehouse, inventory, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, equipment, and freight.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for project deliveries and field personnel.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Track, investigate, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with company asset management, including moving vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Represent NCS professionally with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Provide excellent customer service through clear verbal and written communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and operations teams.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic computer skills and inventory management experience are a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, or weekends based on business needs.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and other safety equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a construction, telecommunications, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure environment.
- Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and logistics best practices.
