Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Warehouse Worker in Poway, CA for 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The role focuses on unloading/loading trucks, material handling, palletizing, and forklift use, with a contract-to-hire pathway.

Job Description

The warehouse worker will engage in various shipping tasks, including unloading and loading trucks, wrapping products, and other material handling duties. The role requires physical activity and attention to detail in a dynamic warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks efficiently.
• Handle materials by pulling equipment from containers.
• Palletize products and ensure secure wrapping and strapping.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Perform heavy lifting and other general warehouse duties.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a warehouse or general labor environment for 6 months to 1 year.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Familiarity with palletizing and wrapping products.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Maintain good attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to submit to a drug test.
• Experience with forklifts is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The facility is open, leading to variable temperatures; however, breaks and hydration are provided during hot conditions. Heavy lifting is a regular part of the job, and employees start working with forklifts from day one.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
