Job summary

ARGOS Global Partner Services in Indianapolis is seeking a warehouse associate to perform loading and unloading from trucks and containers, palletizing, wrapping, and strapping for shipment. You will help with receiving, order picking for restocking, and packaging components while maintaining storage accuracy and inventory control.

The role involves supporting the purchasing, planning, and quality departments, handling communications with customers and carriers, and filing related documents.

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting up to 36 kg (80 lbs) due to heavy items.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is desirable.
• Must maintain high physical activity and stand for long periods.
• Experience with steel bundles, forklift (15,500-lb) and Combilift preferred.
• Background check required (FTZ).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from inbound and outbound trucks and containers, manually or with equipment.
• Ship products by palletizing, wrapping, and strapping for shipment.
• Receive orders for restocking, customer orders and component packaging.
• Maintain storage accuracy and conduct inventory maintenance tasks.
• Support purchasing, planning and quality departments as needed.
• Handle communications with customers, suppliers, carriers and freight forwarders; attach shipping documents.
• Prepare related documents, print, collect signatures, and file inbound/outbound records.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and ensure supplies for the warehouse.

• Shipping process: palletizing, wrapping, and strapping products for shipment.
• Receiving process: order picking for restocking, customer orders, and packaging components.
• Maintaining storage accuracy.
• Performing inventory maintenance tasks.
• Carrying out other distribution-related duties as needed, according to volume and operational demand.
• Performing all other warehouse activities deemed necessary during daily operations.
• Conducting daily forklift inspections / Controlling supplies needed for the warehouse.
• Organizing storage space efficiently, always maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Supporting the purchasing, planning, and quality departments when necessary.
• Assisting with or performing other tasks that may arise during coworkers' vacations or absences (documentation, etc.).
• Handling necessary communications with customers, suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, or for sending/receiving documents related to warehousing.
• Attaching mandatory shipping documents (Packing List, Invoice, BOL) to shipments.
• Preparing related documents, printing, collecting drivers' signatures, and filing them for inbound and outbound processes (e.g., BOL with load details).
• Sending necessary documents (e.g., BOL signed by Argos and the driver) and confirmations to customers (e.g., if the invoice was picked up by the carrier), carriers, and freight forwarders.

Additional Information

• Full-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.
• Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, morning or afternoon shift.
• Pay: US$ 20/hour.
