Job summary

Aerotek in Racine, WI is seeking a Warehouse Worker (Material Handler) to securely package materials, manage delivery schedules, and move items with forklifts and RF equipment. You will follow directions from the Final Assembly/Shipping Lead in a clean, safe facility.

This contract-to-hire role operates on the 2nd shift (1:30 PM–12:00 AM, Mon–Thu) onsite. Pay ranges from $20.50 to $21.75 per hour, with benefits eligibility and opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down).
• 2 years of RF Scan gun experience.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• 6 months of blueprint reading experience.
• 6 months of experience using calipers and gauges.

Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for securely packaging materials, items, and parts for delivery to dealers and end users. You will also manage various items delivered alongside a radiator. Your role involves utilizing schedules and guidance from the Final Assembly/Shipping Lead to accomplish tasks. You will handle items and parts within the plant using industrial lift trucks and other material handling equipment. This position involves receiving work assignments under general supervision and resolving most issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Package materials, items, and parts securely for delivery.
• Manage delivery schedules and follow direction from the Final Assembly/Shipping Lead.
• Utilize industrial lift trucks and material handling equipment to obtain items and parts.
• Receive specific work assignments and resolve most problems independently.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• 2 years of experience using an RF Scan gun.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in blueprint reading.
• 6 months of experience using calipers and gauges.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, in a clean and organized facility. The roles will transition to a new building soon. Dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toe shoes. Safety glasses and other necessary safety gear are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
