Job summary

Purchase Partners is a wholesale distributor of fasteners, casting, forgings, stampings and other parts. The warehouse team handles receiving, shipping, and distribution of products Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m., with a half-hour lunch.

The role involves packing/unpacking, inventory checks, barcode labeling, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced distribution environment. Requires forklift experience and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months related warehousing experience preferred.
• Basic math, reading and record keeping skills required.
• Forklift safety certificate; if not, company will provide class and certification.

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack product in corrugated boxes to be stocked/ shipped.
• Receive and count product; record data manually and/ or electronically in computer.
• Verify inventory counts on packing lists by comparing them to the actual physical counts of stock.
• Access records and process receiving, shipping on a computer workstation.
• Mark inventory with barcode labels.
• Examine and inspect product to verify quality.
• Fill customer orders; prepare bill of ladings for shipment.
• Operate automated bag packaging equipment.
• Rework product when needed.
• Store product in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses.
• Keep all work areas clean and organized.

Purchase Partners is a wholesale distributor of fasteners, castings, forgings, stampings and other component parts made from metal and plastic.

Hours Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; 1/2 hour lunch break

Position Overview Works in receiving, shipping, general warehousing, kit and bag production and distribution of company’s products and services. Receiving inbound shipments and fulfilling sales orders.

General Duties

• Pack and unpack product in corrugated boxes to be stocked/ shipped.
• Receive and count product; record data manually and/ or electronically in computer.
• Verify inventory counts on packing lists by comparing them to the actual physical counts of stock. Investigate discrepancies.
• Access records and process receiving, shipping on a computer workstation.
• Mark inventory with barcode labels.
• Examine and inspect product to verify quality.
• Fill customer orders; prepare bill of ladings for shipment.
• Operate automated bag packaging equipment.
• Rework product when needed.
• Store product in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses.
• Keep all work areas clean and organized.

Skills/Abilities

• Ability to drive a forklift and use other material handling equipment
• Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment
• Ability to lift and repack up to 50 pound boxes throughout the day
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a team environment, follow directions and procedures, and maintain positive attitude at all times.
• Basic knowledge of computers. MS Excel and MS Word is a plus.
• Ability to work in accordance with safety requirements.
