Job summary

3MD Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to store, move, and distribute materials within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all activities.

You will unload trucks, verify orders, organize stock, and assist with inventory counting while maintaining a safe work environment and efficient operations on-site in Indiana.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to operate a forklift truck.

Responsibilities

• Unload delivery trucks and check in merchandise against purchase orders.
• Read orders and determine items to move, gather or ship.
• Move materials between receiving, storage and shipping areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by product code or type.
• Record quantities received or distributed and assist in inventory counting.

Summary Of Position

This position receives stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Essential Functions

• Assists with unloading delivery trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed, and/or shipped
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods

Work Environment

This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud-based filing systems, and collaboration tools

Physical Demands

This role requires physical capabilities that support the successful execution of key responsibilities. The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project-related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 50 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed for project support.
