Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our safety-conscious team in North Little Rock, AR. Friday to Sunday 9:00am-9:30pm, with base pay of $19.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.

This role includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a supportive warehouse environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory scanning, safety compliance, and coordinating with shifts.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up clamp-operator forklift.
• Move large products within the warehouse.

• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.

• Read work orders or instructions to determine work assignments and material needs.
• Record units moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment; execute tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up clamp-operator forklift
• Move large products within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved,
• gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production
• workers or assembly line
• Operate forklifts and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• No prior forklift or warehouse experience required, but preferred .
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
