Job summary

Mastronardi Produce is seeking a production sorter to learn customer product specifications and apply them on our lines to sort peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other produce. The role focuses on maximizing usable product by routing compliant items to finished packages and properly segregating non-conforming items.

The position requires the ability to learn extensive product knowledge, make rapid decisions, and maintain dexterity throughout the shift in a refrigerated warehouse setting.

Shift A2: Sunday- Tuesday, Every other Wednesday 5pm-5am

Primary Function:

Learn various customer product specifications, and work on production lines to sort incoming raw product (peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.) according to these specifications. This critical function is responsible for maximizing the usage of incoming product by ensuring that all product that meets the specifications goes into a finished package, while any product that does not meet the specifications gets properly sorted and separated.

Education/Background Requirements:

• Previous experience working with produce or in a production environment preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Refrigerated warehouse (40 degrees).
• Must be capable of frequently lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Position requires standing and walking for the entire shift.
