Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Wheeling, WV is seeking a part-time warehouse associate for our Family Store. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and sorting donated items, tagging them for pricing, and preparing them for display.

You will also help with packing and moving boxes within the warehouse. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of sorting/receiving experience in a warehouse or store setting.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items according to category and condition.
• Selects items for display and distributes them for sorting/pricing.

• Prepares non-suitable clothes for the bailer.
• Maintains neat warehouse and cleans work areas.

Job Details: Job Location: PMC-Wheeling, WV Family Store - Wheeling, WV 26003, Salary Range: $9.75 - $10.25 Hourly, Job Category: Property, Work Location: Wheeling Family Store

Work Schedule: Part-time (up to 28 hours/weekly)

This position is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc. according to the category and condition.
• Selects items suitable for store display and distributes same to appropriate area for further sorting and/or pricing, discards items in accordance with established procedures.
• Tags items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures.
• Hangs clothes on hangers and places same on clothes racks.
• Packs items in boxes and marks the boxes, accordingly; assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage area.
• Prepares non-suitable clothes for the bailer.
• Lifts and carries items to the appropriate destination for further processing, storage or displaying in store.
• Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables and work areas.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to communicate the English language.
• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.).
• Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:: Education and Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. AND
• Two years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
