Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a part-time Warehouse Donation Sorter at its Wheeling Family Store. The role involves receiving, sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items, with duties spanning clothing, household goods, and bric-a-brac.

The position requires lifting light objects and maintaining a clean warehouse while supporting occasional truck helper tasks. Two years of warehouse experience or equivalent training, plus a high school diploma or GED, are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of warehouse experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading and unloading materials.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items by category and condition according to established standards.
• Selects items suitable for store display and routes them for pricing and further sorting.
• Tags items with coded tickets or prices per established procedures.
• Hangs clothes on hangers and places them on racks.
• Packs items in boxes and labels them for transport to storage or display areas.
• Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly state and cleans work areas.
• Assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage areas.
• Prepares non-suitable clothes for the bailer.
• Lifts and carries items as required; works in a warehouse environment with variable conditions.

Work Location: Wheeling Family StoreWork Schedule: Part-time (up to 28 hours/weekly)This position is responsible for:Receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. He/she may also act in the capacity of a Truck Helper as needed.Key Responsibilities:Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc. according to the category and condition.Selects items suitable for store display and distributes same to appropriate area for further sorting and/or pricing, discards items in accordance with established procedures.Tags items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures.Hangs clothes on hangers and places same on clothes racks.Packs items in boxes and marks the boxes, accordingly; assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage area.Prepares non-suitable clothes for the bailer.Lifts and carries items to the appropriate destination for further processing, storage or displaying in store.Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables and work areas.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to communicate the English language.Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.).Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
