Job summary

This position is responsible for: The Warehouse Worker/Truck Helper is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse and thrift store by receiving, sorting, storing, and transporting donated goods. This position operates warehouse equipment, assists with loading and unloading donations, prepares materials for resale or recycling, maintains a safe and organized warehouse environment, and supports donation pickup routes as a truck helper. The role plays a vital part in ensuring donations are processed efficiently, donors receive excellent customer service, and The Salvation Army's mission is upheld through the proper handling and distribution of donated items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare baling material and process recyclable materials.
• Load, unload, sort, and distribute donated items throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with donation pickup routes and transportation of donated goods.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, safety, and security.
• Provide courteous customer service and maintain positive donor relations.

Qualifications: Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D.; And two (2) years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
