Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. (GMS) is the leading North American distributor of gypsum wallboard, acoustical ceiling products, and other specialty building materials. Founded in 1971, GMS now operates an expansive network of distribution centers nationwide.

As part of the GMS family of companies, Chaparral Materials has a network of yards throughout New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado. We offer weekly transfer trucks between locations, and we subscribe to all the major construction lead services. This helps us efficiently service our customers while also providing valuable resources to the contractor community. Each of our yards is ready to assist you in ordering the right products for your specific applications.

The primary function of the Warehouse Worker is to be responsible for areas of warehouse maintenance, shipping/receiving, product storage, and delivery setup.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
2. Prepare orders by processing requests: pull accurate materials and place in appropriate area for customer pick up or delivery; load and unload trucks as necessary.
3. Maintain inventory controls through minimizing material damage and ensuring order accuracy.
4. Ability to organize the warehouse and manage bin locations.
5. Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
6. Lift up to 50 lbs., walk or stand for most of the shift, and wear protective gear and steel-toed boots.
7. Ensure that equipment is maintained to company operating standards.
8. Ability to operate a forklift.

Basic Qualifications:

1. High school diploma preferred.
2. 1-3 years of experience or more is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
3. Must wear protective gear and steel-toed boots.
4. Will frequently move about inside the warehouse.
5. Must be able to operate warehouse machinery.
6. Must be able to communicate with team and management and exchange accurate information.
7. Constantly working in a warehouse environment.
