Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a warehouse associate for 1st shift in Reading, PA. The role involves unloading, picking with RF equipment, and operating forklifts in a non-temperature controlled environment.

Responsibilities include receiving and storing inventory, following safety procedures, and assisting with training. Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required. Weekly pay and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and order pickers.
• Wear PPE as required and work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Overtime availability, occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using RF equipment and motorized equipment.
• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Receive and put away inventory per processes.
• Follow dock and safety procedures for trailer entry.
• Convey materials from receiving to storage or other areas.
• Assist with training other employees.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Shift: 1 st shift- Monday through Friday, 9AM-5 PM- OVERTIME required occasionally

Key Responsibilities May Include

• Follow established procedures to safely unload various pallets, totes, drums, etc.
• Picking orders using RF equipment with material handling motorized equipment
• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Receive and put away inventory following established processes.
• Follow all dock and safety procedures associated with entering trailers.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Assist with training other employees.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment.
• Wearing protective gear including gloves, safety glasses, face shields, bump caps, steel toe boots/shoes and other PPE as required.
• Capability of working in a Non-Temperature controlled environment.
• Availability to work overtime- occasional Saturdays
• Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
