Job description

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately shipping and receiving freight through internal and external freight carriers in a fast-paced work environment. You will work collaboratively with a team to offload vendor deliveries, receive and sort products by location, complete all necessary paperwork, and optimally load containers to Hawai'i locations, adhering to all regulations for vessel transport safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately ship and receive freight through internal and external freight carriers.
• Collaborate with the team to offload vendor deliveries and receive and sort products by location.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for shipments and deliveries.
• Load containers optimally for transport to Hawai'i locations.
• Follow all safety regulations for vessel transport.
• Experience with forklift operation.
• Proficiency in inventory management.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Skills in picking, packing, and order picking.
• Material handling and unloading expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Receiving experience and knowledge, preferably within the building supply industry.
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, reach, twist, squat, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Basic computer skills.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, with a lunch break from 11 : 30 am to 12 : 00 pm. You will work in a small crew environment, with a total of 8 people in the warehouse.

This is a Contract position based out of Fife, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr.
