Job summary

Metals USA Flat Rolled Group is seeking a warehouse associate to locate completed products, fill orders, package items, and tag products in a fast-paced facility. You will operate conveyors and packaging equipment, move goods to the warehouse, and use an overhead crane and forklift to relocate loads.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and reading measuring tapes and calipers. Prior forklift/crane experience and heavy equipment familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• Able to read measuring tapes and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Locates products completed in a first step process.
• Order filling.
• Packages product.
• Scales and tags product.
• Uses plant specific packaging equipment including conveyors, stackers, downenders and banders to move product.
• Transports items to the warehouse for future shipment.
• Operates an overhead crane and forklift to move product.
• Identifies defects and packages the designated items.
• May perform other duties as related or assigned.
