Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Reno, NV. You will verify shipments, inspect items, create barcodes, and move product using powered equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and possibly a driver’s license. Overtime may be required; safety and accuracy are emphasized as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license, in some instances.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer’s needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required.
• Physical demands to perform essential job functions (standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging, and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels using item numbers or purchase orders, and scan labels into warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift).
• Stage product and form/seal boxes for put-away bins, overstock and racks.
• Train cross-functionally to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality expectations.
