Job summary

PLA in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a Warehouse Utility I for a versatile role supporting daily warehouse operations. You will be cross-trained to cover multiple areas, including manual sortation, facility maintenance, and equipment operation to maintain high-quality pallets and materials while ensuring a safe, clean work environment.

The position offers daily and weekly pay options, full benefits, and a comprehensive suite of voluntary programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual labor or warehouse environments preferred.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas including forklift operation and facility maintenance.
• Stand, lift and move materials for 8–10 hours with reliability and safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Sorting materials and organizing pallets, RPCs, and boxes by hand or machine assistance.
• Operating baler to manage cardboard recycling and bale removal.
• Quality painting of pallets and proper use of painting equipment.
• Maintain clean work environment in warehouse and dock areas.
• Inspect items during sorting to meet quality criteria and track rate per hour.
• Sort items by vendor and process at a set hourly rate.
• Ensure compliance with safety, Propak, and PLA policies.
• Complete other duties to support and improve team operations.
