Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader. The Warehouse Utility role supports Production by safely supplying materials, maintaining traceability, and adhering to BD quality and safety standards.

This position requires English communication, punctual attendance, and the ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment. Based in USA NE - Columbus, the role offers rotating shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with a focus on material handling, SAP/MES transactions, and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product identification, traceability, and material status.
• Transfer products in and out of warehouse rack systems.
• Move raw materials, WIP, finished goods, rejected materials, and validation/experimental materials.
• Transport hazardous materials safely.
• Remove and recycle waste as needed.
• Report damaged materials immediately.
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
• Perform SAP and MES transactions.
• Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, slip-sheet equipment, and material tuggers.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Shift: D Shift (Rotating Schedule), 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Warehouse Utility is responsible for providing support to Production by safely supplying and removing material to and from the production area while maintaining product identify/traceability/material status and assisting in functional areas of the Warehouse Department. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and standard methodologies, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience (preferred)

Preferred Experience

• Warehouse operations experience.
• SAP and MES experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience driving a straight truck.
