Job summary

BD seeks a manufacturing operator to run equipment safely, perform quality checks, and enter data in SAP. The role supports clean room activities, changeovers, and line clearance to meet production goals while upholding GMP standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, or at least two years of manufacturing experience, plus familiarity with MES and precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; two years manufacturing experience acceptable in lieu.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred; MES experience preferred.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely to produce quality products and perform inspections.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting, changeovers, line clearance and cleaning.
• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment.
• Support continuous operation of equipment through breaks and cross-train as needed.
• Maintain GMP standards and perform SAP data entries.

Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for operating equipment in department safely and producing quality products per documentation. Perform quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing

• Perform visual inspections

• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment

• Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning

• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment

• Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks

• Perform rework

• Cross train where needed within the department to support the business

• Maintain all quality and GMP standards

• Perform needed SAP data entries

• May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges

• Participate on blitz teams as assigned

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education:

• High School diploma/GED preferred

• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required

Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

• Previous experience with MES preferred

• Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
