Job summary

BD is seeking a Warehouse Utility for the USA NE - Columbus area. This night-shift role (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) supports production by supplying materials and ensuring traceability and safety across the warehouse.

Responsibilities include moving materials, handling hazardous items, performing SAP/MES transactions, and maintaining accurate records. English communication and safe operation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and converse in English.
• Diploma plus manufacturing experience preferred.

Job Description

Shift: D Shift (Rotating Schedule), 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Warehouse Utility is responsible for providing support to Production by safely supplying and removing material to and from the production area while maintaining product identify/traceability/material status and assisting in functional areas of the Warehouse Department. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and standard methodologies, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product identification, traceability, and material status.
• Transfer products in and out of warehouse rack systems.
• Move raw materials, WIP, finished goods, rejected materials, and validation/experimental materials throughout production areas.
• Transport hazardous materials safely.
• Remove and recycle waste as needed.
• Report damaged materials immediately.
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
• Perform SAP and MES transactions.
• Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, slip-sheet equipment, and material tuggers.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience (preferred)

Preferred Experience

• Warehouse operations experience.
• SAP and MES experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience driving a straight truck.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative.
