Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a warehouse associate to perform various duties within the warehouse and grounds. The role includes pallet sorting, rework of non-conforming product, and sanitation tasks.

You will participate as a Team member, support ongoing development, and help implement team concepts and policies across shifts. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, operate in a noisy environment, and obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, and perform basic math.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.
• Pallet sorting, restacking, identify product that does not meet customer specifications and rework and sanitation.
• Participates as a member of the Team, coordinating work to ensure BEST practices and joining appropriate team meetings.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems principles and objectives and supports system compliance.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
• Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment and lift up to 75 pounds.
