Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a capable Shipper/Receiver to operate an industrial forklift for receiving and transferring products, and to manage inventory accuracy. You will rotate stock, prepare shipments, and maintain records while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a company issued forklift license.
• Basic math skills and comfort with English language for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial forklift to receive and transfer product, supplies, and materials.
• Store and retrieve goods in the storage area; rotate stock (oldest first).
• Record items added or removed from inventory and report damaged cartons or containers.
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure proper loading and sealing.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety and PPE requirements.
• Create product labels for inventory; read lot numbers, expiration dates, and production schedules.
• Perform daily safety inspections and report issues; assist with minor equipment service.
