About the Role

This temporary Freight Associate position is for the fall semester, with an expected start date in late July to early August, at Vortex Optics in Barneveld, WI. Primary hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with additional hours and flexibility as required.

Responsibilities

• Pick, audit, package, and ship customer orders.
• Process necessary orders within the WMS and TMS.
• Label orders that require UCC labels.
• Train and operate material handling equipment.
• Maintain and organize adequate shipping supplies.
• Perform general warehouse maintenance such as cleaning, sweeping, and organizing.
• Complete all special projects accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures in accordance with approved training and report any dangerous conditions to a member of management immediately.
• Perform all department functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe practices, and exhibiting positive attitudes toward internal and external customers.
• Operate standard office equipment efficiently, including computer, printer, and photocopy machine.
• Provide a high level of customer service in a professional manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, collaborating cooperatively to achieve department and company goals.
