Freeport-McMoRan's Climax Molybdenum site in Colorado is seeking a Warehouse Technician II to perform a variety of routine warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading, inventory, storage, and distribution of goods at the site. The position requires about one year of warehouse experience (mining or similar industry) and hands-on operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.

Qualifications

• One year of warehouse experience in mining or similar industry.
• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment in a warehouse setting (e.g., forklifts).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse software

Responsibilities

• Perform routine warehouse duties: receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution.
• Receive, inspect and unload goods; place into inventory and process reservations.
• Operate forklifts up to 36,000 lbs, pallet jacks and carts.
• Deliver materials to customers; capture delivery signatures and maintain records.
• Update and maintain warehouse records; follow site SOPs for inventory control.
• Support other duties, including Warehouse Tech I tasks.

Where You Will Work

Climax Molybdenum is the world’s leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business safely, efficiently and responsibly. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years, with mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax Mine is located between Frisco and Leadville - the seat of Lake County and the highest incorporated city in the United States.

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

What You Will Do

• Under frequent supervision, performs a variety of routine warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution of goods and materials at assigned site.


• Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials and place into inventory. Process reservations and issue material to end users, including via walk-up requests.


• Operate various heavy equipment, up to and including forklifts (up to 36,000 lbs), pallet jacks and carts.


• Deliver material to customers, capture proof of delivery signatures, and maintain a record of delivered items.


• Implement policies designed to maintain inventory in usable condition and ensure reliability, including visual inspection of inventory on an ongoing basis, wrapping and rotation of movable elements of inventory. Utilize site SOPs and product literature to understand and complete assessment of equipment/products.


• Update warehouse management systems (WMS) as needed to:


• Maintain records of delivered items and remaining inventory.


• Update manual or automated inventory listings.


• Set customer expectations by communicating delivery times and possible delays if expected.


• Perform other duties as requested, including Warehouse Tech I duties.

What You Bring To Freeport

• One (1) year warehouse experience in mining or similar industry, including one (1) year consistent operation of a variety of heavy equipment within a warehouse environment (e.g., forklifts, applicable warehouse equipment)

The estimated pay range for this role is currently ** $21.00 - $29.00/hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
