Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Colorado is seeking a Warehouse Technician to receive, inspect, unload, and stock materials. You’ll operate forklifts and pallet jacks, update the WMS, and ensure accurate records while coordinating deliveries to customers.

Candidates should have 3 years in warehouse roles, be proficient with MS Office, and demonstrate strong safety awareness. On-site role with a $1,450 housing allowance and comprehensive benefits, with potential non-standard shifts.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of warehouse, inventory control or materials management experience.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Technician I/II skills and safety practices.
  • Strong problem solving, reconciliation and root-cause analysis abilities.
  • Knowledge of purchasing rules, forms and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and unload goods; place into inventory and fulfill requests.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and carts up to 36,000 lbs.
  • Deliver material, capture delivery signatures and record items.
  • Update WMS and inventories; maintain accuracy of listings.
  • Set customer expectations on delivery times and delays.
  • Perform other duties including Warehouse Technician I duties.

What You Will Do
  • Receive, inspect and unloads goods and materials and places into inventory. Processes reservations and issues material to end users, including via walk-up requests.
  • Operate various heavy equipment, up to and including forklifts (up to 36,000 lbs), pallet jacks and carts.
  • Deliver material to customers, captures proof of delivery signatures, and maintains a record of delivered items.
  • Implement policies designed to maintain inventory in usable condition and ensure reliability, including: visual inspection of inventory on an ongoing basis; wrapping and rotation of movable elements of inventory. Utilize site SOPs and product literature to understand and complete assessment of equipment/products.
  • Update warehouse management systems (WMS) as needed to: Maintain records of delivered items and remaining inventory Update manual or automated inventory listings.
  • Set customer expectations by communicating delivery times and possible delays if expected.
  • Perform other duties as requested, including Warehouse Tech I duties.
What You Bring To Freeport
  • Three (3) years of warehouse, inventory control, materials management, or related experience.
  • Proficient in all Warehouse Technician I and II skills
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse inventory control systems and purchase orders.
  • Ability to problem solve and do reconciliations and root cause analysis. Analytical skills are expected.
  • Knowledge of purchasing rules, regulations, methods and forms.
  • Expertise in operating a variety of light equipment, hand trucks and vehicles within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in email, and an understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$24.50 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
