Job summary

State Steel Supply Co. in Grand Island, Nebraska, seeks a Laborer/Operator to support production of metal products including sheets, rods, coils, rounds and beams.

You will follow standard methods and safety practices to maximize efficiency and safety, and you will operate heavy equipment such as cranes, mills, saws, shears, forklifts, and CNC machines. You will also help maintain the warehouse and machinery, perform other assigned duties, and work weekday mornings and afternoons with overtime

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate heavy equipment including cranes, mills, saws, and forklifts.
• Work schedule includes weekday mornings and afternoons; overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
• Ability to assist in maintenance and cleanup of warehouse and machines.
• Follow safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
• Read and understand work instructions; follow safety regulations.
