Job summary

State Steel Supply in Omaha, NE seeks a dependable CNC Saw Operator to join our production team. You will read blueprints, set up the saw, and maintain quality while meeting production targets in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle material handling, blade changes, and basic troubleshooting, while following safety rules for forklifts, cranes, and machine operations. Prior production experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and English fluency.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand drawings.
• Strong measurement and fractional/decimal conversion skills.
• Ability to distinguish aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
• Must be a reliable, strong team player.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and hand tools.
• Forklift and crane operation training a plus.
• Previous production experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean machine and surrounding area.
• Maintain production levels to meet demand.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Show attention to detail and focus on tasks.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity.
• Lifting materials and items manually or with a hoist.
• Change out blades as needed.
• Follow safety requirements for forklift, crane, and saw operation.
• Load infeed tables and remove finished goods from outfeed tables.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Understand and operate CNC machine controls.
• Monitor sawing variables to ensure quality.
• Set up and organize the work area for efficient runs.
