Job summary

Associated Staffing Inc. is hiring a Material Handler in Grand Island, NE for the 1st shift (6:30 AM - 4:30 PM) at $21.00 per hour. The role involves operating saws, basic machining, and material handling with emphasis on quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with tools and machinery, able to follow written instructions, and capable of both independent and team work in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Dependable with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and machinery.

• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Manufacturing or material handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-automatic saws to cut steel, tubing, bar stock and other materials to required lengths.
• Perform basic machine operations, including grinding, sanding, forming and bending materials.
• Read and follow work orders, shop instructions and established procedures.
• Set up and adjust equipment to meet production specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Use hand tools, belt sanders and other manufacturing equipment.
• Move and organize materials throughout the production process.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
• Identify and report equipment issues, defective materials or quality concerns.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized and safe.
• Work with team members to meet production and quality goals.
