Job summary

Light Metals Coloring is seeking a motivated Warehouse Technician to join our manufacturing team in Southington, Connecticut. In this hands-on role, you'll receive materials, prepare shipments, support production schedules, and ensure customer products are handled with accuracy and care.

You'll help keep operations running smoothly, maintain a clean and safe warehouse, verify shipping documents, and assist drivers to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a warehouse/shipping environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and ability to verify quantities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Keep production moving: Receive, inspect, organize, and deliver materials to production accurately and on time.
• Prepare shipments: Package, label, verify, and prepare orders for customer delivery, subcontract vendors, and carriers like UPS and FedEx.
• Maintain accuracy: Verify incoming/outgoing materials against shipping documents and customer requirements.
• Support logistics: Coordinate with planning team and drivers to meet deadlines.
• Protect product quality: Handle customer-owned materials and follow quality/traceability procedures.
• Stay organized: Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse.
• Support timely processing: Ensure shipping docs are accurate to support invoicing.
• Contribute to improvement: Participate in daily safety practices and PPE compliance.
• Support deliveries: Assist with delivery of products to customer locations.
