Job description

This position is an essential part of Sherwin’s distribution network. This role safely loads and unloads trucks, accurately picks paint and paint-related product orders, and ships product orders to our customers. This position moves material within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. This role also safely operates forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, sorting, packing, and transporting products.

1st Shift: 8:30am-4:30pm

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or distribution
• At least 1 year operating mobile power equipment (e.g., lift trucks, tow motors, pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers)
• At least 1 year operating stationary power equipment (e.g., conveyors, hoists, stackers, farm/construction equipment)
• At least 1 year experience in order picking, data entry, and barcode scanning
• At least 1 year working as a picker or packer in a warehouse or distribution center

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick, process, package, and ship orders
• Maintain organized stocks and inventory
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments
• Receive, unload, and store inventory properly
• Operate warehouse robots and equipment to facilitate operations
• Coordinate site damage/re-pour areas
• Follow all safety and quality standards
• Suggest improvements to warehousing procedures
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily
