Job summary

Sterling Computers Corporation is seeking a warehouse technician to support shipping, receiving, and organizing of goods. You will assist in assembling custom component packages and install images on multiple computers as needed.

The role requires basic computer repair knowledge, HS diploma or GED, and a preferred associate degree or 2 years of repair experience. Forklift certification is a plus, with opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to assemble and disassemble a wide variety of computers is a must.

Job description

  • Ability to manage the installation of custom images on several computers simultaneously
  • Ability to kit and assemble custom component packages
  • Ability to enroll computer systems into on-line systems for software downloads, update operating systems or firmware updates.
  • Ability to install asset tracking labels or bios configurations to meet customer standards
  • Ability to work with limited supervision daily
  • Ability to perform inventory counts and audits as needed
  • Ability to perform data collection and recording to ensure quality standards meet the objectives of the project

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or minimum of two years’ computer repair experience preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment – Forklift Operator Certificate preferred
  • A working knowledge of different computer components to assemble and disassemble a wide variety of computers a must

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time in a climate-controlled office environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be very detail oriented
  • Extended periods of time utilizing hand tools needed to repair computers.
  • Able to move quickly to meet warehouse demands
  • Must be able to lift to 50-75 lbs. repetitively
  • Must clear criminal background check and drug test
  • Moderate travel may be required
