Job Description: We're looking for a dedicated Warehouse Technician to help us streamline our processes and ensure smooth, efficient operations. Come be part of the backbone of our operations!
Performance Requirements: The job will typically require the employee to meet the following primary performance requirements.
- Follows instructions given by designated supervisor as well as all company policies and procedures
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance through adherence to dress code, wears mandated PPE such as long pants, steel-toed boots, and hard hat, gloves, glasses where required
- Receive product deliveries and inspect product, noting damages accurately and clearly on bills of lading
- Prepare and package products for shipment
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Place product in proper location and document location records
- Deliver product and/or tools to Franklin Interiors installation technicians
- Locate and pull goods for outbound shipments matching delivery ticket item and quantity
- Maintain warehouse organization and appearance
- Arrange shipping for out-of-state shipments
- Has and maintains a valid DOT card and Driver’s license. Follows all safety procedures including proper and safe operating of company vehicles and obeying all traffic laws
- Actively participate in the company’s Quality Improvement Program
*** Due to the nature of the industry, all operations personnel may be required to work overtime, including nights and weekends with little or no notice.
- The above listed duties may be supplemented with additional duties related to company objectives as specified by designated supervisor
Job Specifications:
Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Related Experience: One year of related warehouse experience is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to prioritize Service Center tasks
- Ability to become familiar with specific technology; Scanners, etc., as it applies to warehouse operations
- Ability to learn and become skilled with the use of the Hedberg system as it applies to warehouse operations
- Holds a valid driver’s license
- Familiar with warehouse procedures and inventory control
- Ability to operate forklift and stock picker
- Ability to cooperate with others in a team setting
Performance Measurements:
- Ability to handle products safely without damage
- Ability to locate product from written instructions
- Dependability and promptness
Significant Physical Demands:
- Walking/Standing/Sitting
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Good hearing
- Visual acuity for close and distances
