What You'll Be Doing

As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe handling of materials, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have experience in warehouse operations, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable working with a diverse group of teammates, including drivers, management, and customer service representatives.

Scope and Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include:

• Adhere to work instructions, ensuring tasks are performed accurately and safely.
• Work safely with PPE, report safety or quality concerns promptly.
• Perform quality checks on incoming materials.
• Convey materials from receiving to storage or other locations.
• Sort and store materials according to size, temperature, type, or product code.
• Unload materials, verify paperwork, note discrepancies, and distribute items.
• Assemble paperwork and place orders on pallets or designated areas.
• Mark materials with identifying info and verify accuracy.
• Wrap and ship skids securely and efficiently.
• Use computers for correspondence, data download, and temperature verification.
• Operate forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, following safety rules.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
• Report any safety or security issues immediately.

Qualifications

You should have the following:

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or College education.
• Forklift experience preferred (training provided).
• Proficiency after training completion.

• Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.

Computer Skills:

• Knowledge of manufacturing software, order processing, warehouse management, and Microsoft Office.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Visual acuity at close and distance ranges.
• Ability to identify speech and adapt schedule as needed, including occasional overtime or holiday work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
