Job summary

Wegmans Distribution Center leadership role focused on exceptional customer service and daily operations. You will supervise multiple employees who handle receiving vendor products and selecting store orders to service our 100+ locations each day.

Coordinate daily production tasks, coach and hold staff to high expectations, maintain inventory accuracy with cold chain and food safety standards, and drive improvements to reduce costs and boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading a team.
• Experience with logistics or distribution operations is a plus.

As a leader in our distribution centers, you will be responsible for leading incredible customer service and managing daily department operations. Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for long periods, some sitting, occasional lifting, some heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching in a variety of warehouse settings in a fast-paced environment. May use power industrial trucks and/or be asked to select product and load trucks (see RSC Selecting, Loading, Inventory). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. The work environment is indoors and may involve exposure to cold (33° – 55°) and/or freezing (-20° – 20°) temperatures. Protective clothing is provided.
