We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to oversee and coordinate warehouse operations across three shifts under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing of goods and materials while ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in logistics and warehouse practices.

The Team Leader will spend more than 90% of work hours performing inventory control tasks similar to those of other group members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Orders, receives, stores and issues parts and specialty hand tools, machine tools, materials and equipment
  • Assists with completing inventory cycle counts.
  • Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts, tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Lead and support warehouse teams across all three shifts to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in daily shift meetings and communicate shift handovers through verbal reports and logbooks.
  • Supervise the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
  • Ensure efficient cargo movement, including loading, unloading, and transshipment of goods, documents, and personnel.
  • Oversee warehouse organization to optimize material flow and storage space utilization.
  • Operate and supervise the use of forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards as per company policies and programs.
  • Analyze logistics processes and documentation, proposing improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing and promoting logistics concepts and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Issue Daily tasks to all tool crib attendants and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability, encouraging integration with internal customers to meet productivity and service goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics processes and warehouse management.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to operational demands.
  • Completed logistics or supply chain training/course is a plus.
