Job summary

MAT Holdings Inc. is expanding operations with a new Shannon, Mississippi distribution center and seeks a Warehouse Department Lead to supervise a 10-15 person team. You will drive daily production targets, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate workload with the shift supervisor.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, and process improvement to meet operational goals. Candidates should have forklift certification and experience in a warehouse setting, with strong English

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to communicate in English and collaborate with team.
• Judgement and decision making in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Adept knowledge of RF scanners/systems used for picking/receiving.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Forklift operation certification or ability to obtain.
• Understand throughput of logistics operations.
• Ability to lead 10+ people in a warehouse setting.
• Shipping/receiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department of 10-15 in daily communications and workload distribution.
• Train, motivate and lead the department to meet daily production and safety goals.
• Take accountability for department operations and results.
• Monitor and enforce safety and company policies.
• Train and assist order pickers, checkers and loaders as required.
• Assist in developing department performance and productivity standards.
• Hands-on support as workload requires.
• Maintain and update shift reports and attendance.
• Attend department and company meetings; provide input for evaluations.
• Complete and coordinate department projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
