Job summary

S&S Activewear is hiring a Team Lead for the Receiving & IC team in our Illinois distribution center. You will supervise daily operations, ensure safety standards, and provide guidance to the IC team while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities include monitoring orders, operating warehouse machinery, training new staff, and maintaining orderly, compliant processes. This role requires reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Work and collaborate with leadership team for process improvements and provide support throughout the DC.
• Efficiently monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of products ensuring they meet company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
• Operate required machinery with specified departments (e.g., cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, stock chasers).
• Follow and commit to meet KPIs for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
• Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
• Maintain required processed/procedure audits.
• Train in customer service duties as required.
• Monitor and train new hires to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.
• Follows all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
• Acts professionally and remains focused on a safe working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned and be willing to cross train.

About the Role

S&S is seeking a Team Lead to provide support to the Receiving & IC manager/supervisor and directly interact with the IC team. The IC Team Lead will ensure compliance of the procedures, communicate goals, safety practices, and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they complete their action plans. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere and enforce the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook. The Team Lead at S&S Activewear provides guidance and direct feedback to all team members within assigned tasks. They ensure that proper processes are followed and that errors are addressed quickly. They assist in training of new and present employees and the upkeep of the Distribution Center.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

$23.43 hourly

Monday - Friday (1pm-9:30pm) Full-time, non-exempt

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). Note: PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment if required for your specific role - not all roles require specific PPE. Please check with your HR/Training team for details on if your role requires specific PPE.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing the job of a Restock Driver, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
