Job summary

S&S Activewear, a dynamic Fort Worth-based apparel company, is seeking a Receiving Team Lead to support the Receiving & IC manager, guide the team, ensure procedural compliance, and help meet safety and performance goals in the Distribution Center.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
• Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to drive process improvements and support the DC.
• Monitor orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping to meet safety and productivity standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
• Follow and meet KPIs for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
• Report discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
• Maintain audits of processed procedures.
• Train new and current employees as needed.
• Train and monitor new hires for productivity and quality.
• Keep the distribution center organized and clean.
• Follow SOPs and safety rules in all tasks.
• Remain professional and focused to maintain a safe environment.
• Performs other duties and cross-trains as required.

About the Role

S&S is seeking a Receiving Team Lead to provide support to the Receiving & IC manager/supervisor and directly interact with the IC team. The Receiving Team Lead will ensure compliance of the procedures, communicate goals, safety practices, and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they complete their action plans.

All S&S employees must adhere and enforce the guidelines presented in the S&S Employee Handbook. The Team Lead at S&S Activewear provides guidance and direct feedback to all team members within assigned tasks. They ensure that proper processes are followed and that errors are addressed quickly. They assist in training of new and present employees and the upkeep of the Distribution Center.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

$21.89 hourly

Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm (1st shift) Full-time, non-exempt

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work and collaborate with leadership team for process improvements and provide support throughout the DC.
• Efficiently monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of products ensuring they meet company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
• Operate required machinery with specified departments, which may include cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
• Follow & commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, & efficiency.
• Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
• Maintain required processed/procedure audits.
• Train in customer service duties as required.
• Monitor and train new hires to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.
• Follows all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
• Acts professionally and remains focused – contributing to a culture and environment focused on a safe working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned and be willing to cross train.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). Note: PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment if required for your specific role - not all roles require specific PPE. Please check with your HR/Training team for details on if your role requires specific PPE.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing the job of a Restock Driver, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
