Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio to drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will oversee daily tasks, coordinate team duties, and mentor staff to achieve KPI targets while ensuring safety and quality in all processes.

Eligible candidates should have warehouse experience, forklift certification, and proficiency with RF scanners and MS Office. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement within our supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing orientation and necessary tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
