Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Hazelwood, MO. This role focuses on leading a 2nd shift team, orchestrating daily warehouse tasks, and driving safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year or more as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• 1+ year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Flexible to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counts.
• Allocate resources and distribute daily work to ensure smooth shifts.
• Inspire team members toward KPI improvements using the right leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and equip employees with information and tools.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork (picking sheets, returns, BOLs).
• Complete daily reports and propose actions to improve service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay $22.06 per hour
• Shift pay $1.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay $33.09 per hour
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
