Ryder System, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead for the third shift. You will lead a team in a clean, organized facility with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Weekly pay, paid training, and full benefits are offered.

The role requires experience with warehousing, forklift operation, RF scanning, and strong leadership. You will coordinate daily tasks, manage resources, and ensure KPI targets are met while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for warehouse operations efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and distribute daily work to maintain optimal shift logistics.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using effective leadership methods.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees for task execution.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete daily reports and propose actions to enhance operations and service levels.

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $33.00 per hour
• Shift premium: $1.50 when working third shift
• Schedule: Third Shift Sunday - Thursday 10:15pm - 6:15am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
