Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Alburtis, PA to drive frontline operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will guide a team, manage productivity, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily tasks, including loading, packing, and shipping.

This role emphasizes leadership and hands-on warehouse duties. The ideal candidate has a year of warehouse and team-lead experience, plus RF scanner proficiency and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for optimal efficiency of operations.
• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to ensure optimal shift operations.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Prepare and submit daily reports and propose actions to enhance operations.

• Overtime Pay $33.37 per hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
