Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to guide daily operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will oversee a team, coordinate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, and ensure safety and efficiency on every shift.

The role requires forklift experience, RF scanner proficiency, and strong leadership with excellent communication. Weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge or and experience with an RF scanner advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to maintain optimal shift operations.
• Inspire and guide team members to improve KPI performance using effective leadership styles.
• Assist in onboarding and equipment/tool readiness for employees and promote health and safety practices.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork and daily reporting; propose actions to enhance operations.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $23.69 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.50 per hour when assigned to third shift
• Schedule: Third Shift (D) Thursday-Saturday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other Wednesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
