Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Hagerstown, MD. The role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a safety-focused supply chain environment.

Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement, supervising picking/packing/shipping, and managing daily workload. Prior lead experience and RF scanner familiarity are preferred; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI performance using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in onboarding new employees and providing necessary information and tools to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.

• Hourly Pay $23.69 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to third shift
• Schedule: Third Shift (C) Sunday-Tuesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other Wednesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

• Valid forklift operator's license certified
