Job summary

Interstate Batteries is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, oversee staff, and ensure safe, efficient transportation of goods. You will manage inbound/outbound shipments, cycle counts, and inventory control while promoting continuous process improvements.

The role requires forklift operation, strong organizational skills and knowledge of carrier and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment at our Conroe facility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in a lead role preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Experience with inventory control procedures and inventory/accounting relationships.
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure.
• Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods.
• Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff.
• Ensures continuous process improvement.
• Coordinates physical inventory process and cycle counts.
• Processes inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.
• Operates forklifts and trains the Warehouse Workers on safety of goods and efficient use of equipment.
