Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all inventory movement in the distributorship’s warehouse, supervise 2-3 Warehouse Workers, and handle bi-products, Econos, and cores. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations and accurate inventory control.

The position requires leadership, strong communication and organizational skills, with experience in carrier operations, regulations, and hazardous shipping knowledge to maintain compliance and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse management experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and motivational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods.
• Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations.
• Experience with hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all receiving, putaways, picking, replenishments, packing, palletizing, and shipping; supervise 2–3 warehouse workers.
• Ensure continuous process improvement and safety compliance.
• Design warehouse layout to maximize space, productivity and safety; develop SOPs and performance standards.
• Manage inventory quality, accuracy and custody; coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Plan and manage inbound/outbound shipments and reporting; control expenses.
