Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Receiving Team Lead in Richmond, VA to supervise warehouse functions on a fast-paced shift. You will lead daily activities, coordinate picking, packing, and loading, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality in all operations.

You may utilize RF scanners, operate forklifts, and manage a team to meet KPI targets, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. A strong leadership mindset and solid communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge/experience required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for warehouse efficiency.
• Perform warehousing tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate daily work and resources to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, BOLs).
• Submit daily reports and propose plans to improve operations.
