Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our warehouse. You will lead a safety-focused team, coordinate shipping and receiving, and drive continuous improvement across the shift from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday through Friday.

Compensation includes weekly pay, a base rate of $20.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour additional pay and opportunities for overtime, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and assign daily work to maintain optimal shift operations.
• Inspire team toward KPI improvements using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork and submit reports; propose action plans.
