Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Port Deposit, MD to supervise daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role involves coordinating loads, picks, packing, shipping, and cycle counts while guiding a team to meet KPIs.

The position requires leadership ability, forklift experience, and RF scanner proficiency, with ongoing training and benefits offered by Ryder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for warehouse efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and distribute daily work to meet operational goals.
• Inspire team members to improve KPIs using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle daily paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to enhance service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
