Job summary

Avantor, at the Devens, MA site, is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations under limited supervision. You will manage loading/unloading, palletizing, inventory recording, and use scanners; mentor peers and support supervisors while promoting teamwork and safety.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of warehousing experience (preferably in a cGMP environment), and proficient use of SAP, Excel, Word, and shipping systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of warehousing experience, ideally in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Industrial powered equipment experience required.
• Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, FedEx and UPS.
• Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs and/or Work Instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to shift priorities easily.
• External training for shipment of Hazardous materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily task assignments for picking, packing and shipping of finished product.
• Oversee inbound receipts and processing of raw materials.
• Prepare labels and inventory data sheets; sample sizing and units based on supplier index.
• Ensure items are counted, stored, picked and packed per Work Instructions and customer requirements.
• Coordinate shipping paperwork and material handling following SOPs and compliance.
• Train associates on material handling equipment and shipping/receiving processes.
